Singer/Songwriter, Lennox "Buppy" Brown, born in Port Antonio, Jamaica, was first exposed to music when accompanying his father, a well-known saxophone player, to rehearsals and live performances along with playing records at the month end home parties.  This continual contact with the arts fueled his passion to entertain people.

Buppy’s repertoire consists of the universal reggae styles: dancehall, roots and culture, lover's rock, jungle, Dance and calypso. He's been consistently capturing audiences in some of the hottest nightspots in southern California, including  Hollywood Park Casino, Barfly, Hollywood Highlands, Galaxy Theatre, Club Moomba, 14 Below, Sunset Room and the Key Club. Buppy also participates in annual events like Guinness Sting 2005 and charities like "Best Buddies of California" for the deaf and disabled, a tribute to Dennis Brown, the Prince of Reggae, "Cuts for Kids", for Big Brothers, and "A Taste of the Nation" benefit for the homeless at Universal Studios.

Buppy formed a band called  Buppy & The Uplifters Reggae Band and been performing live in many parts of California.  He also has a group named Buppy & The Uplifters Reggae Group. Joining him in group is  Ms.KMD from Los Angeles & Roots J from Sierra Leone. The band members are all living in California.

            With his rapid-fire lyrics and charismatic stage presence, Buppy's infectious reggae styles has also captivated audiences in Jamaica, Africa, Chicago, New York, Miami and Europe, garnering him critical acclaim and a growing fan base across the country. Many of Buppy's songs from his first CD titled "Bupatak" and 2nd CD titled "Universal Reggae Menu Vol.1" can be heard on the soundtrack of BLADE 2 (starring Wesley Snipes) and in major motion pictures such as THE FAN (starring Robert DeNiro), S.W.A.T. (starring Samuel L. Jackson), Enemy Of The State (starring Will Smith), 7 Seconds (starring Wesley Snipes),  DOMINO (starring Keira Knightly), Hard Luck (Starring Mario Van Peebles & Wesley Snipes) and  The Contractor (Starring Wesley Snipes & Lena Headey from "Terminator- The Sarah Connor Chronicles").  His songs can also be found in many independent films including Tha Eastsidaz (starring Snoop Dog) HBO Released A State Of Mind and more.   Buppy has also recorded in Jamaica and collaborated with artists like Mr. Peppa, Oba Simba, and G Blunt. He has released his first 2 Singles on 7" Vinyl in Jamaica & has also collaborated with other artists in different parts of the world during his travels abroad. Buppy will be coming out with his next album "Universal Reggae Menu Vol.2  in 2008. Buppy is definitely a straightforward man with a positive and righteous energy. His messages and style uplift the soul, inspire the mind and calm the spirit.   Buppy is also a member of Christ Memorial Church in Pacoima where he loves to worship the LORD. He is also involve being in the choir & gives much thanks to the lord Jesus Christ and Many thanks to his pastors Andrae Crouch & Sandra Crouch for accepting him in the house of the lord. as we all know the way of life is to be true to the father from above.
